John 4:26 (King James Version) "Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he."
Have you met Jesus?
This passage is beautiful. It shows that God personally revealed himself to the Samaritan woman at the well. It is something that every Christian should strive for- for Christ to reveal himself personally. What’s also beautiful is that he took time to talk to her as a stranger then He revealed himself to the woman. He appealed to her sense of helpfulness by asking her for water. He then appealed to her intellect when her told her about the water that once drank you will never thirst again. With each example of his majesty and power he pointed her to God. Only until she revealed that she heard of God and proved that she was looking for him did he reveal Himself. He said- I that speaketh unto thee am He. It’s been quite a ride since God first revealed himself to me and I’m looking forward to when I can stand before his beautiful face and hear ‘well done’.
