Please allow me the opportunity to thank you for the honor of being your AY Federation president for these three years.  It was such a privilege serving you in this capacity.  We in the Queens Adventist Youth Federation have set such a high standard of excellence that I consider myself among the best representatives of youth leadership in this Conference.

I also want to congratulate you for the contribution you made to making us the “AY Federation of the Year” for 2011. The Youth Ministries department as always was impressed with the level of commitment and involvement in every facet of youth ministries by this area.  It was through your hard work, the hard work of my team and the ay leadership in the area that caused this to happen.

I also want to thank you for helping me to become “AY Federation President of the Year” 2011.  Praise God!  I couldn’t have done it without you!

It is the central mission of the Queens Adventist Youth Federation that we create a platform for our youth to be exposed to the love of Christ.  The Northeastern Conference Youth Ministries theme for 2012 is “Let HIM Shine”.  This theme speaks not only to conversion it speaks to living a life completely submitted to him.  It speaks to discipleship, discipline, focus and obedience.  I can’t wait to see how our talented youth leaders use their creativity to interpret this powerful theme this year.  What about you?  This year expects to be a power-packed year in ministry.

As the sun sets on my term here as Federation President I stand on tip-toe anticipation to see what God has in store for  me as I reinvent myself in ministry.  I also can’t wait to see who will be the Federation president for next term.  I am confident that whomever the Lord chooses will do amazing exploits for God.  An bunch of leaders were chosen to serve on the Executive team and I am extremely confident that the entire new tesm of the Queens Adventist Youth Federation will exceed the standard of excellence that has been set by their predecessors.

Please join me in support of the leadership for term 2012-2014 and beyond.  Please give them the great support that you gave us these past 12 years.

Let us continue to live by our pledge:

“Loving the Lord Jesus, I promise to take an active part in the youth ministries of our church, doing what I can to help others and to finish the work of the gospel in all the world.”

Meredith Forde, Federation President 2009-2011
